Your task is to collect and interpret a range of information about coral reefs. When you have done this, design and create a multimedia presentation about coral reefs. Slide 1: Title
Slide 2: Write a description of where the coral reef is located.
Slide 3: Include a map showing the location of the coral reef. Ensure that it indicates latitude and longitude. Underneath your map show the source of your map (which website?).
Slide 4: Describe the geographical process that formed the coral reef. Include at least one diagram.
Slide 5: Describe the coral reef ecosystem. Include information about producers, consumers and decomposers.
Slide 6: Include an image of a coral reef ecosystem from your chosen location.

Visit a number of websites about coral reefs. Each time you visit a site write down the name of the site and make dot-point summaries about the relevant information. Ensure that you don't copy word-for-word from the internet as this is plagiarism. Make sure that you are visiting reputable and reliable websites. These may be government institutions, researchers or organisations. It is best if the sites you are visiting end with .edu or .org rather than .com.
Lesson 2: Offline
Now that you have your summaries, sort through your information and start to write your own original work. Use the breakdown of the slides above to guide you. When you have completed this you will need to edit it before submitting it to your teacher for marking. To edit your work, review how you have used capital letters, full stops and commas. Have you used full sentences? Have you used a few geographical terms?

Examine any feedback that you have been given. You may need to make some slight changes to your work. Transfer your work from the previous lesson into PowerPoint slides, or another form of presentation software.
